“So much has changed in 3 years, but for the better. Things are going well, andlet's hope they get betterasthere is always room for improvement.I am very happy with these 3 years I have been here, I hopethere are many moreand,up tonow, I have very good memories of ValenciaCF."
VCF DNA
“My values in football ofhardwork, ambition and humility are what people likeabout me,and from the first day they supported me. I had a very good first year that made people love me,whilstlast year it was a bit difficult for me, but even in the worst moments they helped me because they saw that, even if things didn't work out for me, I workedhard, supported the team, andgave it everything-even if things didn't work out for me.I am very happy withhow this past seasonturned out. Seeing people celebrate my goals is a joy, it makesthehairs on your neckstand on end. I am very happy to have that relationship with the people of Valencia.”
Preparing forthe2024/25 preseason
“In elitelevelfootball it is no longerenoughtocome backand prepareat the club. You have to have a base, a minimum, established. A good preseason can make the differenceduringthe year.”
Wearing the number9 shirt
“I've always liked it. It is true that itcarriesresponsibility, butoverallI really like it. It looks very nice on the shirt. I told my father that I would like to be theno.9forValencia CF, at leastin terms ofthe shirt, then on thepitchI had to earn it. It's been a good year and we've allended uphappy."
Being the top scorer onthe team
“You have to have ambition and if thispastyear I have scored 13 goals,Ihave to set the goal of, at least, equallingthat-and trying to surpass it.”
Veteransin the squad
“Thatis also a responsibility. I am delightedwith it. When I see the kidscoming up, I've been there and I know what I wouldhavelikedin that situation.I try to help them as much as possible and on top of that they are people who try to learn, always with asmile on their face.We have a very good grouphere, in which we are allsimilar interms of how we are.Welisten, learn, work and have a good time, and I think it is also a greatachievement,in part,byBaraja.”
The fans
“One of the reasons why I fell in love with ValenciaCFwas because of the fans and Mestalla. I hope we have a lot ofhappinesstogether and that they continue chanting my name, which isawesome to hear.”
HisTop 3 moments with Valencia CF
“Mybest moment isthe goal from the Copa del Rey final. I even got that moment tattooedon me. It's a unique moment and I like it a lot. Mysecond bestwould be the game in which I made my debut against Real Madrid CF and scored a goal.It was amazing. And the thirdwould be the quarterfinalsinthe first year, when Iscored a goal and an assist andwasapplaudedoffat Mestalla for the first time. That momentleft mespeechless.”
